Polling, last election, and recent election in Miami forebode a promising 2026.
2026 will be a year of accountability and justice! The year blatant disregard this administration has shown for the law and the constitution will be called out and many will be held to account.
With Marjorie Taylor Green retiring in January and several (some say many) representatives to follow, the House Majority will turn back to the Democrats long before the elections in November. Imagine all of those special elections in the current political environment?
As the erosion of civility, dignity and respect for all continues to plague the United States, the American people will grow ever more tired (exhausted really) of this Administration and the elections will see a massive blue wave. I predict the House and the Senate will go blue, blue, blue.
Then the President and his cronies, his unqualified misfits, from the “land of you who you know and not what you know” will be held to account. I predict this time DJT will be impeached and many of his enablers and colluders will be tied up in investigations for months to follow and finally be held to account.
The corruption, the blatant illegality of this Administrations’ actions and policies will all be brought to light and many will be held to account. Justice is coming! Throw in Epstein-Trump files finally being revealed and well, “it’s in the bag.”
The backdrop of course is a failing economy to add fuel to the accountability fire. I predict the economy will continue to tank – tariffs, inflation, job losses, layoffs already rival the great depression. Food prices, housing, will continue to rise and wage growth will not be able to keep up. Entire industries are already devastated (farming, manufacturing) and we will see the consequences unfold in 2026.
The anti-DEI forces will see they have failed and this “Anti-DEI fad” will pass like every other fascist movement in the history of the world. Yes, it is going to happen sooner than we think because this administration is “driving out their own” by treating their House of Representatives so very poorly.
Dignity, respect for all – will return as a good policy, a good strategy, and DEI will start to get some traction again. We never left really, just went quiet, and continue to do our work without fanfare.
DEI field has already “pivoted” and we will continue to add value. At Diversity Training Group – with our new book and audiobook “Tackling Toxicity” our DEI work has taken us in new directions – Psychological Safety, Trust, Employee Engagement, Emotional Intelligence and Change Management.
Organizations that “dropped their DEI efforts” are rethinking the message, the consequences of said action. DTG clients who have quietly been doing the work, they will continue to “double down on their DEI efforts” and realize ever greater impact and results because they differentiate their organization from the competition doing nothing in the DEI space.
You cannot make up the bold in your face hatred – racism, sexism, anti – everything not white in the news every-day. Domestic and foreign policy of this administration just riddled with hate and self-interest.
At DTG we believe the “typical decent American cannot ignore kitchen table issues and the rampant hate.” They are just sick of it, tired, and they will rally for civility and dignity for all.
We were busy this year at DTG and I predict a busier 2026 because “times are getting more toxic every day.” Stay in the fight. Do whatever you have to stay in this fight, pivot, offer ancillary services.
That is one grave concern we have, how many have left the DEI field and where did they go and can they come back – because the DEI blood will come back into the proverbial organizational body in 2026.
June 1, DTG celebrates 30 years in business – not our first rodeo, and we will all get through this and come out the other side, stronger, savvier and more resilient.
