Dr. Robin Cayce is the Director of Programs for Chattanooga 2.0. Beginning her career in education as a 5th grade teacher, Dr. Cayce went on to serve as a Principal in both Hamilton County Public Schools and Metro Nashville Public Schools. Before coming to Chattanooga 2.0, Dr. Cayce served as the Director of Professional Development, Pre-K – 4th Grade for Metro Nashville Public Schools. Dr. Cayce is the author of Project APPLE (Autistic Preadolescent Proactive Learning Environments) and is an adjunct professor with Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Every child deserves the opportunity to have a healthy and successful life – and the first 1,000 days are the most crucial. Across the state of Tennessee, 13 innovation grants funded by Governor and Mrs. Haslam were chosen as a part of the statewide “Building Strong Brains Initiative” to promote public awareness about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). ACEs are caused by traumatic experiences and severe neglect or toxic stress, which can damage the connections being built in a child’s brain in the earliest years of life.
